24 April 2023 | Shane I've been using these point motors for a few years now and they are simply the best. So easy to install and they never have an issue, they just work. Silent and very small in size. With the help of James's amazing service I HIGHLY recommend these point motors.
18 March 2023 | Philip This was easy to set up, I followed James’ video, and had it working the MP1 point motor in seconds. Easy to follow graphical interface. Just wish they had UK semaphore signals as well as continental versions programmed in.
11 December 2022 | David I bought 3 of these a few months ago to replace some Digitrax boards to reduce the reaction times of the detectors. These did the job perfectly and resolved the previous issues I was having with iTrain. Great bits of kit and very easy to configure.
26 August 2022 | Ian Having installed 12 on these motors on one of our club exhibition layouts I must say how impressed we are with how easy they are to install. The number of adjustments designed into these motors to aid their alignment and adjust the point tie bar travel is second to none. However, the following tips might be worth noting. To remove the slide bar assembly, to adjust the travel limit, it is not necessary to remove the motor cover - just slacken off the two cover screws sufficiently to prise it open enough to remove the bar. The lugs on the back of the cover will hold it in place whilst carrying out this procedure which, if removed completely, can be a little fiddly to relocate. Also, while adjusting the needle position we have found some of the two slider screws very tight and whilst trying to unscrew them found the locking nuts rotating instead of being held in position in the channel in the rear of the slider. Believe this may be due to their over tightening during assembly. Worth checking this before installation, if screws are too tight hold the nut with a small nose pliers, unscrew and if necessary reposition the nut with flat edges against the sides of the channel and nip tighten the screw. Overall an excellent product.
04 March 2022 | Richard I purchased this system from DCC Train Automation six months ago, and have been highly delighted with it in the time I've had it. Easy to set up and use, a great hand set can't be faulted. Ideal for my mid-sized layout over 75ft of track. This is a superb little system which can be expanded if your layout grows in size.
13 December 2021 | Stephen Thanks to James's advice, I purchase these to run my N Gauge point motors, and the ease and simplicity of fitting this controller for gauge master surface mounted points, and linked to the DR5000, has given me immense satisfaction as a beginner that I can proceed forward with my build on the Lyng and District Model Railway.
20 October 2021 | Andrew It took my 5 minutes to drop one of these into a Bachmann E4. I then spent 5 minutes programming it in iTrain via a ROCO Z21 controller, and that just worked. When I put the loco on the track my Digikiejs DR5088RC feedback detector saw it and all I did then was change the polarity in CV29 to reflect which way the loco was facing. |
