DB Museum BR103 113-7 Electric Locomotive VI (DCC-Sound)
In the 1960s, the E 03 class was the most powerful electric locomotive to date for use in passenger transport on the Deutsche Bundesbahn. From 1970 to 1974, a total of 145 series locomotives were built and officially designated as Class 103.1. Due to their unique shape and enormous performance, the 103s quickly became the DB's showpieces.
From Class 103, only two locomotives are preserved in operational condition at the DB Museum in Koblenz. The 103 113, featuring a red frame, was the first of its kind to receive it in 1977. This locomotive is used on selected journeys with the AKE-Rheingold.
